Samples
We want you to see, feel, and love the fabrics as much as we do, so we supply all our fabric samples free of charge. As they cost us dearly in time and materials, however, we do ask that you please don’t misuse this service.

If you are a Trade customer who has an account with Aleta, you may request returnable fabric samples on loan for one month. If not returned to Aleta within 30 days from date of receipt of goods these will be invoiced.

Samples will be sent by first class post unless otherwise requested. If you prefer your samples to be couriered, we will need your customer account number with either Federal Express or UPS.

To request samples, you can either call Aleta direct on +44 (0)20 7228 9676, or contact Aleta.

Lead Times
If your order is in stock, we aim to send it out within 3 working days. If a fabric needs to be specially printed, we will let you know as soon as we receive your order. In most cases, this will take 3-4 weeks. Due to the bespoke nature of most embroidery orders, these will take 4-6 weeks from the date of order confirmation.

Delivery
All orders will receive an individual quote for delivery charges according to the method of delivery chosen, and the size and weight of orders.

Orders sent by post at the customer’s request will require a signature upon delivery, and the appropriate carriage charge will be added to the net invoice amount.

If you prefer your order to be couriered, we will need your customer account number with either Federal Express or UPS, and all carriage charges and duties imposed will be billed directly to your customer account.

Delivery dates quoted, whilst done so in good faith, are not guaranteed. Aleta Ltd shall not be liable for the consequence of any delay whatsoever and however occasioned. If an order or contract provides for delivery by instalments, and delay in delivery or non-delivery of any instalments shall not entitle the customer to terminate the contract.

Short deliveries or damaged goods must be signed for as such and Aleta Ltd notified immediately, otherwise Aleta Ltd cannot accept any liability for lost or damaged goods. All risks, including damage, deterioration, loss or theft, shall be the liability of the customer as soon as delivery has been made to the customer.

Fabric Availability
Occasionally we will discontinue a design, base fabric, or colourway. Notice will not always be given of this, so please check with us before making a definite fabric choice. We’ll be more than happy to discuss options, and to suggest alternatives if your first choice is not available.

Measurements and Pattern Repeats
As many of our fabrics are hand produced, all measurements for pattern repeats, widths and dimensions are approximate. In particular, pattern repeats on block printed fabrics may vary as part of the skill of the printer is to position his blocks by eye. Irregularities should not be treated as defects, but as a testament to the handmade and unique beauty of these fabrics.

Fabric Lengths
Our block printed fabrics are available in maximum lengths of 10-12 metres (the length of the tables they are printed on). If you are concerned about the lengths being supplied for your order, please let us know the drops you are working with and we will ensure you won’t be left short!

Colour Matching
We believe passionately that colour is one of the most important ingredients in making a space beautiful, and although we do our best to ensure colour consistency, outside factors can often influence colour variation from dye lot to dye lot. Where a colour match is important, we recommend that a cutting from stock be requested, and that sufficient quantities be ordered initially to avoid disappointment.

Reserves
If you need a little extra time to decide on a fabric but are worried about availability, you can request a reserve be placed on an item or quantity of fabric. Reserves last for one week only, however, after which time they will automatically be cancelled unless we have agreed otherwise.

Care and Cleaning
Our block printed fabrics will wash beautifully by hand or machine wash on a 30 degree (cold) ‘Delicate’ program with a short spin cycle, and then hanging to dry. It is essential the block printed fabrics are not dry cleaned unless your dry cleaner is a specialist using K.W.L. agent. (The chemicals used in standard dry cleaning techniques are too harsh for these textiles, and will strip or alter colours).

We recommend dry-cleaning by specialist dry cleaners for all of our other fabrics.

Lightfastness
We take care to ensure the quality of our materials allows our fabrics to be as lightfast as possible. The dyes used in our block printed fabrics are dried and fixed in the Indian sun. We source our embroidery threads from Germany to ensure the best colourfastness, and the greatest variety of shades we can find. It is important to remember, however, that all fabrics will fade over time, particularly if they are exposed to harsh light (including moonlight), and some colours are more susceptible than others to this. We believe our fabrics age gracefully, however, growing more comfortable in their surroundings with the passing of time.

Flame Retarding
If you are a Trade customer, we will be happy to arrange appropriate flame retarding and certification for the fabrics upon request.
